Duvets

What sizes do your duvet cover come in?

Our duvet covers come in a variety of qualities and colours, in 2 sizes: UK Double or UK King.

Check out our Size Guide on each duvet page just above the Add to Bag button) to see the exact dimensions of each size.

How should I wash my duvet cover?

Each fabric has its own care instructions listed on its product page, but as a general recommendation: machine wash your duvet cover on cold.

Do not use fabric softeners or bleach, so as not to damage the fabric. Tumble dry on low.

How can I get wrinkles out of my duvet cover?

Wrinkling depends on the fabric and quality of each duvet cover — some materials, like natural fibres, tend to wrinkle more than others.

To help reduce wrinkles, remove your duvet cover from the dryer promptly and smooth them out while still slightly warm.

What is the difference between a duvet and a comforter?

A duvet consists of two separate elements:

  1. The duvet "insert" itself, which is usually plain white, filled and quilted.
  2. A duvet cover that protects the duvet. This part is customisable (with different patterns, designs, colours and textures) and actually comes into contact with your body as you sleep.

Conversely, a comforter is a ready-stuffed, quilted blanket which acts as an all-in-one bedding top layer.

Comforters

What sizes do your comforters come in?

The majority of our comforters come in 3 different sizes: UK Double (90" x 68"), UK King (93" x 90"), and UK Super King (109" x 90").

Check out our Size Guide just above the Add to Bag button to see the exact dimensions of each size.

What is the comforter filling made of?

Sunday Citizen’s comforters feature an exceptionally plush, cloud-like filling designed for dreamy, year-round comfort.

How should I wash my comforter?

Professional cleaning is recommended. Alternatively, you can wash it in a large-capacity machine — such as at a laundrette — or in your own washing machine at home.

If using a large-capacity machine:

Load the comforter into the basket, making sure it is evenly distributed. Pick your preferred washing option and select a low or no spin cycle. If, at any point, the washer starts to shake a lot, stop the cycle, open the door and try to improve the distribution of the comforter (without removing it). Start the machine again on a spin cycle only (low).

Once this cycle is complete, without opening the door, start another low spin cycle. You can do this once or twice. This will help drain a lot of water, in order to make the drying process faster. Once finished, put the comforter in the dryer.

What is the difference between a comforter and a duvet?

A comforter is a ready-stuffed, quilted blanket which acts as an all-in-one bedding top layer.

Conversely, a duvet consists of two separate elements:

  1. The duvet “insert” itself, which is usually plain white, filled and quilted.
  2. A duvet cover that protects the duvet. This part is customisable (with different patterns, designs, colours and textures) and actually comes into contact with your body as you sleep.

Why does my comforter come vacuum packed?

When you unpack your comforter, it may take a day or two to spring back into its original, fluffy shape. Rest easy, it’ll happen!

If, for any reason, yours does not fully expand, please let us know and we'll make sure to make it right.

Weighted Blankets

What size and weight options do you have for weighted blankets?

Our Snug Crystal Weighted Blanket comes in 1 size, available in 2 weight options: 4.5kg (10lb) and 6.8kg (15lb).

What weight is best for me?

For best results, experts suggest that weighted blankets should be around 10% of your total body weight.

Do your weighted blankets come with a cover?

Yes, each weighted blanket comes with a weighted insert and a removable, machine washable cover.

What are the benefits of weighted blankets?

Weighted blankets exert a gentle pressure on your body to make you feel safe, comforted and relaxed. As a result, they can reduce feelings of anxiety, enable better sleep.

How long does it take to get used to sleeping with a weighted blanket?

If you’ve never used a weighted blanket before, you may wish to start by first covering your legs, and then gradually covering more of your body as you get used to the feeling. It may take around a week to adjust to sleeping with a weighted blanket, and you should start to feel maximum benefits after two to three weeks of regular use.

Sheets

What sizes do your sheets come in?

Our sheets come in a variety of qualities and colours, in 2 sizes: UK Double or UK King for Top and Fitted Sheets, and UK Standard or UK King for Pillowcase Sets and Sham Sets.

Check out our Size Guide on each Sheet Set page just above the Add to Bag button to see the exact dimensions of each size.

How should I wash my sheets?

Each fabric has its own care instructions listed on its product page, but as a general recommendation: machine wash your sheets on cold.

Do not use fabric softeners or bleach, so as not to damage the fabric. Tumble dry on low.

How can I get wrinkles out of my sheets?

Wrinkling depends on the fabric and quality of each sheet set — some materials, like natural fibres, tend to wrinkle more than others.

To help reduce wrinkles, remove your sheets from the dryer promptly and smooth them out while still slightly warm.

Pillows

Why do my pillows come vacuum packed?

We vacuum pack most of our pillows to occupy less space. This also makes them easier to package and handle during shipping.

When you unpack your product, it may take a day or two to spring back into its original, fluffy shape. Rest easy, it’ll happen!

If, for any reason, yours does not fully expand, please let us know and we'll make sure to make it right.

How should I fluff my pillows after vacuum packing?

We recommend letting your pillows sit for 24 hours, to allow them to naturally expand.

If they haven’t fluffed up fully after this time, remove your pillow cover and put your pillows into the dryer for 5-10 minutes on a low, tumble dry setting. This will make them softer and fuller.

Can I wash my pillows?

Most of our pillows have a machine washable, removable cover.

Machine wash this cover on a cold setting, gentle cycle, with like colours. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low.

Are your products pet friendly?

Yes, our bedding products are generally pet friendly, including our signature Snug, Silky Lyocell, Premium Bamboo Viscose, and Cloud Cool lines (and believe us, pets LOVE them).

Please note, however, that as with all soft textiles, excessive scratching or long nails may eventually cause product damage.

Why are some of your products vacuum packed?

We vacuum pack some of our products to occupy less space. This also makes them easier to package and handle during shipping. Our products are made with inherently flame-resistant materials.

When you unpack your product, it may take a day or two to spring back into its original, fluffy shape. Rest easy, it’ll happen!

Can I get a fabric swatch?

Are your products free from toxins and harmful chemicals?

The use of chemicals is commonplace and necessary in the production of fabrics, but some chemicals are better and safer to use than others.

That’s why the majority of our products, including all of our bedding products, such as our signature Snug, Silky Lyocell, Premium Bamboo Viscose, and Cloud Cool lines, and more, have been certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. This certification verifies that our products are free from harmful substances, making them safe for you to use.

Are your products flame retardant?

Our products do not contain flame retardants due to the strong chemical nature of these retardants. Many of our products are polyester-based, which is an inherently flame-resistant material.
